Katia Hildebert, M.S. 

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

With more than 15 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Katia specializes in helping children and families flourish through the power of play and connection. Her passion lies in strengthening the bond between parents and children, offering support in areas like positive parenting strategies and collaborative co-parenting techniques. She is particularly skilled in using play-based therapies to address common childhood challenges such as behavioral difficulties, impulse control, ADHD, and emotional regulation.

In practice, she believes that children (and adults!) have an innate capacity for growth and healing. Katia strives to create a safe and playful environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves, exploring their feelings, and discovering their inner strengths. Through play, art, and other creative methods, she helps children understand and manage their emotions, develop problem-solving skills, and build resilience.

Her approach is rooted in active listening and genuine empathy. She validates each child's unique experience and works collaboratively to uncover their individual strengths, empowering express themselves and create positive change in their lives. Ultimately, her goal is to equip children and families with the tools they need to build stronger relationships, improve communication, and foster a more joyful and fulfilling life together.

Katia graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has worked in various settings throughout her training and career, including schools, homes, and private practice. Katia is also a qualified supervisor providing training to other mental health professionals.
